NEON provides opportunities for its membership to participate in learning activities.  We provide workshops to allow our members to gain valuable skills and knowledge to provide peer support using best and promising practices with the purpose of improving the quality of life for consumers and their families in northeastern Ontario.

  • Advocacy with various community groups and government bodies

NEON's goals are:

  • To ease social and geographic isolation throughout the region
  • To provide a framework of communication as the consumer voice of experience at all levels of government
  • To dispel the stigma and myth of mental illness through education
  • To support and promote mental wellness

We achieve this by sharing our stories and our common experience.  NEON members are actively involved in community and system planning groups.
